Welcome to DCES. My name is Denise Ray and I am the school counselor. As school counselor I am blessed to serve all students at DCES in their social and emotional development. If I can be of assistance to you or your student please don’t hesitate to contact me.

I completed my undergraduate studies at Southwestern College, Winfield, KS and earned my Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Emporia State University. I worked professionally in a community mental health setting before deciding to stay at home with my 3 children all of whom attended DCES. I have so many wonderful memories as a parent at DCES and am excited to make many more in my professional role.

Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my 3 adult children, two of whom are UT alumni and one who is currently attending OU which makes game days a lot of fun. I am also an avid runner and enjoy traveling especially to the mountains or national parks.
